Connection between bonnet and body of this type of BOP has two forms: bolted connection and wedge connection. The annular BOP is usually used together with ram BOP and also used independently to seal kelly, drill pipe, drill pipe tool joint, drill collar, casing and cables. When there is no drilling tool in the well hole, it can seal the well completely and forced tripping in/out operations can be carried out.
